Charts made using Plot.ly  https://chart-studio.plotly.com/~wrightkov/1/ https://chart-studio.plotly.com/~wrightkov/3/ The story or insights your visualizations tell. This dataset has 2 areas of near 0 growth from 0-.75 and from 3-3.8. This is reflected in both the differences between the bars, plus the circle the differences between wedges expands at a similar rate. A quick reflection:  What are the strengths and limitations of Part-to-Whole as a design framework? Part to whole doesn't arrange itself well when just comparing time data. Without inspecting the key carefully it can be hard to tell just what % of the pie each time is.

Time Series Visualization with Tableau

Image
https://public.tableau.com/app/profile/zachary.wright8315/viz/TimeSeriesVisualization-ZW/Sheet1?publish=yes The month and year variables were necessary in order to make a time series so I chose those, as for my other choices I chose total injuries and vehicle miles since they would have the most change over time. I then chose mode as there may be differences in the different modes.  The biggest information I gleaned from these lines is just how much both injuries and miles have trended downwards lately. There is a sharp decrease in both from 2024-2025.

Module 3: Refined Map with Color

Image
I ran into issues with the map and illustrator in ways I was unable to resolve in time to turn in this project. Questions were posted to the hand raised discussion section of the course.   How your color choices improve readability and insight.     Shapes didn't come through with anything I did with illustrator so I left them black so they showed at all on this map. Which vector elements (points, lines, icons) you added and why Answer pending support on map completion How Gestalt principles guided your layout and grouping. Module 2: My Geographic Map of Beach park locations

dataset location  https://mapdirect-fdep.opendata.arcgis.com/datasets/florida-public-beach-access-sites/explore The only difficulties I had was in getting the image, as I've used the non public version prior. Some difficulties may lie in both the color, shape and lack of label from an image. I added those labels to my workbook but they wont show here normally.  https://public.tableau.com/shared/TK9D3G54D?:display_count=n&:origin=viz_share_link
